About the NL Musicians' Emergency Fund
We value the gifts our NL music community provides. Musicians are our lifeline to a more meaningful life.
Musicians face an uncertain future in terms of maintaining their livelihood during this challenging time. When a financial crisis hits, most musicians have no safety net to fall back on. It can be particularly hard for NL musicians to get through our harsh winters when the cost of living is so high. We want our musicians feeling safe and trusting they’ll always have the support they need to help them get through these difficult times.
The NL Musicians Emergency Fund was established by AFM Local 820 in 2012. We provide musicians with emergency financial assistance to ensure they are able to afford day-to-day essentials such as heat, light and food.
NL Musicians Emergency Fund is accessible to any working musician in our NL music community. This could be a performer, music teacher, manager, audio engineer, live venue technician and more. Musicians DO NOT have to be a member of Local 820 to access this fund and it’s easy to apply.
